| |
| Some of the young people who attend Dynamic are directly involved in making a difference and improving the lives of children and young people across Wales. |
| |
| Dynamic has established links with a number of organisations across the
country, including Funky Dragon - the Children and Young People’s Assembly for
Wales. Funky Dragon is a peer-led organisation, who aims to give 0 – 25 year
olds the opportunity to get their voices heard on issues that affect them. |

| Equalities of Opportunities Reference Committee |
| |
| The National Assembly for Wales have recently reviewed services for young disabled people in Wales . A committee has been elected to carry out the policy review and in turn they have formed a reference group comprising of twelve young disabled people from all over Wales to focus on the most significant and fundamental problems. The reference group members have received training and many of them have attended the Welsh Assembly buildings in Cardiff Bay to give evidence to the committee. |
| |
Robert Surrey, one of Dynamic’s Thursday Group members represents the views of his group peers at the meetings. From attending the Committee meetings, Robert now has the skills and the knowledge to know how to raise any issues of concern with the relevant bodies. |

| Young Disabled Persons Network |
 |
| |
| We also have three young people representing Dynamic on the Young Disabled Person’s Network - Robert Surrey, Michael Hughes & Jordan Dickerson. The Network seeks to provide a structure whereby young disabled people can be supported to play a full and active part in the decision-making processes that affects their lives. |
| |
| The Network aims to help young disabled people to know their rights, giving them an outlet to raise any issues of concern to them in their everyday lives. The young people involved feel it gives them a voice in decision-making processes, therefore increasing their self-esteem and confidence. The Network meets on a regular basis allowing the young people to meet new friends, socialise and have fun. |
